FISHING WIT THE ALPHAS
SCHOLARSHIP
In conjunction with the Fishing with the Alphas event, OUFBC has created the Fishing with the Alphas Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors in Brazoria County. The amount of each individual scholarship award will be at least $1,000. Winners of the 2025 scholarship will be honored at the Tau Omicron Lambda Chartering ceremony on July 12th.

The application deadline for the 2025 Fishing with the Alphas Scholarship is April 28, 2025.
The Torch Scholarship recognizes outstanding graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. This scholarship is presented through a partnership between the Tau Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Ownward and Upward Foundation of Brazoria County.
Applicants must be graduating seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or University. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and future educational goals. The scholarship supports students who strive to make a positive impact in their communities while pursuing higher education.
